Our journey began in 1957, in the charming town of Monahans, Texas.  At Frosty’s local burger and ice cream shack, Carol Ann was enjoying a  night out with friends when Sam, a young airman, spotted her in the  crowd. With a smile and a twinkle in his eye, he leaned in and told his  buddies, “I’m going to marry that girl.”  And so, their love story began — courting through the family’s old screen door and blossoming into a  relationship that lasted over 60 years. 

 

Sam and Carol Ann’s life  together was always centered around the love of family and friends.  Their gatherings were filled with laughter, adventure, and cherished  memories. It is in that spirit that we honor their legacy with The Casa  at Canyon Lake. 

 

In 2024, the family renovated this special  property, transforming it into a beautiful wedding and event venue. It  is in loving memory of Sam and Carol Ann, and it stands as a testament  to their enduring love — a place where others can create their own  stories, filled with love, joy, and treasured moments.
